And why is Daigo suddenly so desperate for money that he willingly betrays Kiryu and his own men? I can't even remember what was Arai's endgame, it got so confusing. Kiryu vs Daigo and Akiyama vs Arai could've been great if the game took it's time to explore their relationships. While final fights looked cool, had amazing music and dynamic intros, they had almost none of emotional weight previous games had. Yasuko isn't even a real character, she is a plot device to connect the protagonists, so she gets killed to give atleast some reason for the final showdown at Millenium Tower. The reveal itself wasn't even that bad in story context, it's that story takes huge emphasis on reveals and twists after that that is frustrating. But after the rubber bullets it takes a HUGE nosedive. New characters were neatly introduced, brought different perspectives on Kamurocho and new cool fighting styles.
